I am applying for membership in the Tulsa Federation of School Leaders (TFSL), an affiliate of the American Federation of School Administrators/AFL-CIO. The TFSL currently represents school principals and assistant principals in the Tulsa Public Schools district.


I understand that this authorization card may be used by TFSL to petition the Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education for voluntary recognition as the official collective bargaining agent or to request a certification election.


I authorize TFSL, and any successor or assign, to act as my exclusive bargaining representative for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to wages, hours, working conditions, and other permissible subjects in accordance with applicable law within Tulsa Public Schools.


I further authorize TFSL, and any successor organization, to represent me in collective bargaining related to compensation, benefits, working conditions, professional learning, professional voice, and other lawful subjects of negotiation specific to my employment with Tulsa Public Schools.


I acknowledge that I will have opportunities to provide input on issues to be discussed during contract negotiations and that I will have full voting rights on matters such as ratification of collective bargaining agreements, election of union officers, and any other issues submitted to a membership vote.


This authorization is binding and may only be revoked in writing to TFSL between June 15 and June 30 of each year. After that period, this agreement shall automatically renew annually.


With this application, I agree to abide by the rules and policies of TFSL.


I understand that this application and collective bargaining authorization are entirely voluntary and not a condition of my employment with Tulsa Public Schools.
