As an educational professional employed by the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), I support the collective collaboration with my colleagues to have a strong voice in decisions that impact our careers and the educational quality of the students we serve.
To accomplish this goal, I support collective bargaining and authorize the Fairfax County Federation of Principals, Supervisors, and Administrators (FCFPSA), Local 147 of the American Federation of School Administrators and any successor organization to represent me for the purpose of collective bargaining.
FCFPSA will act as my exclusive bargaining representative with respect to compensation, benefits, working conditions, professional learning, professional voice, and other permissible subjects for bargaining, pursuant to applicable law.
I acknowledge my position with FCPS is part of the administrator/supervisor bargaining unit.
I understand this authorization can only be used by the FCFPSA to support a petition for a certification election filed under Section 8 of the Fairfax County Public Schools Collective Bargaining Resolution.
I recognize there will be opportunities to provide input into topics that will be discussed in contract talks and will have full voting rights to approve of any collective bargaining agreement, officers of the organization, and other topics put out to a membership vote.
